Pajiba is reporting that Summit Entertainment is developing "Riptide," with offers made for Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf attached to star. The script comes from Peter Morgan (The Queen, Frost/Nixon). The new movie is a mystery set on a ship called Nautica and is about a handyman, a young stock broker, and the stock broker's girlfriend.

One of the men is found dead floating in the sea. The girlfriend is found at a nearby hotel. An investigator is called in to figure ou what happened and why. Pitt has been offered the part of the investigator, while LaBeouf would play the young broker. At this point, there is no guarantee that they will accept the offers.
