Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt's collection of hats has become so huge that he has decided to donate several of them to charity.

The 45-year-old actor is known for his fondness for different kinds of headgear, so much so that he is being bombarded with hats from fans and friends.

The 'Inglourious Basterds' star's growing assortment of head wear is starting to annoy his partner Angelina Jolie, forcing the actor to think of getting rid of some, reported Contactmusic."It's fair to say Brad has quite a collection of hats now.

It's become something of a joke between him and Angelina as just about every day he's sent one as a gift," a source said.  "People have clearly picked up on his liking for a nice hat and so he even gets given them by people he meets in the movie industry or though his aid work," the source added.

Pitt, who raises six children with the Hollywood beauty, has finally agreed to Jolie's pleas to sort through his collection and give away the hats he doesn't like.  "He has more than he could ever wear so he plans to donate a lot of them for charity," the source said.
