Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were in Africa one year ago today. Jolie was giving birth to baby Shiloh. And they said it wouldn't last. Shiloh was born in the evening by c-section, due to breech positioning. Brad and Angelina knew of the potential issue with the birth before the delivery, and flew Angelina's OB, Dr. Jason Rothbart, in to perform the surgery, reports Celebrity Baby Blog.
Shiloh was born in Namibia, meaning that she has a dual passport with the US, a connection to another country and her sister's birth place. She said, "I was so happy to have Shiloh in Africa, that we could do that and for her to have a Namibian passport. She has that connection to another country and to her sister’s part of the world. I think that ties them together a little."
The birthday party is planned for today, according to Star Magazine. The report says that Brad's parents will be there. "Bill and Jane Pitt and brother Doug, will be rallying around Shiloh’s celebration, because “it’s important to Brad to have his parents there," a source told the magazine. And the proud papa will ensure that the memories of Shiloh’s first birthday will be preserved forever. "Brad will be videotaping everything,” the source adds. "Everything Shiloh does is will documented," the source says.
The report also claims there are concerns that Jolie might actually miss some of the birthday festivities. I can't imagine that Angelina won't be there for he first natural born child's big bash. Happy Birthday Shiloh!
