Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt seemed to make a big effort to be photographed on what appeared to be a 'date' on their first night overseas.  The usually intensely private couple is rarely snapped in such intimate moments, and their bodyguards are usually quite ruthless with the paparazzi overseas.  But there they were looking cozy and in love and now more photos are leaking in what many believe is damage control.So what’s really going on?  According to this week's Life & Style Weekly, Angie and Brad have agreed to keep up the pretense of a romance for several more months, the first Angie friend says.  “They’re trying to protect their children and preserve the interest in A Mighty Heart,” the friend says.Brad’s Plan B company produced the movie - which tells the story of how Mariane Pearl coped after terrorists killed her husband, Wall Street Journal reporter Danny Pearl - and Angie became close friends with Mariane before filming began.  “Brad and Angie both believe in the movie and have zero intention of undermining it or distracting from it,” the friend says.  They realize any announcement of a split would completely overshadow the film.

But once their professional commitments are out of the way and they decide how and when to break the news to Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh and Pax, “they’ll be ready to officially break things off,” the friend says.  “The one thing they see eye to eye on is that they’re not compatible, and they both want out.”  For now, says the friend, when they’re both in LA, “they’re staying under the same roof - but they don’t sleep in the same bedroom together.”Cue the rep™: Still, Brad’s rep insists to the weekly entertainment magazine
