Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have been given a warm welcome by their neighbours in London. According to reports the residents of the capital city's Richmond borough regularly offer up golfing equipment and food supplies to the couple.

They are submitting their invites to security staff through an intercom. A source told The Sun: "Brad and Angelina have been given a warm welcome in Richmond. The locals love the fact they have returned there after staying last year. Neighbours have buzzed on their intercom and asked if Brad wants to play golf at a nearby course. They have even offered to lend him clubs in case he hasn't got any."

The Fight Club actor and fiancée Angelina last week moved back to south-west London where they lived last summer. The friendly locals have also dropped off baskets of traditional English fare as a welcome gift for the Mr & Mrs Smith stars and their six children, Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Zahara, Vivienne and Knox. Apparently Brad's security took the food presents inside and now the family's kitchen cupboards are well stocked with traditional English products.

Two new men are becoming faces of fragrances: Fendi will be featuring Mark Ronson, while Chanel ihas snagged… none other than Brad Pitt! It’s official, Fendi will be launching their first men’s scent soon, and the Italian house has chosen Mark Ronson as its face. A 36-year-old English musician, songwriter, producer and DJ, Ronson is best-known for his collaborations with icons like Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams and Adele. ‘Appearing regularly on international ‘best-dressed’ lists, he is the perfect reflection of modern masculinity (…): sexy, unique, alive and ultra-chic’, Fendi confides.

As for Chanel... the house has just announced that they’ve signed with global star Brad Pitt. He has been chosen to ‘incarnate the hero of the next ad campaign for CHANEL N° 5’. So just what does that mean? Is Chanel about to launch a men’s version of N°5, or is Brad Pitt going to be the first man chosen to represent the famous floral-aldehyde perfume? THE olfactory world has been rocked by the news that a stinky man is to become the hairy face of the most famous fragrance on the planet. Chanel has announced that the new campaign for its signature scent, Chanel No 5, will be fronted by formerly-handsome hat wearer Brad Pitt.

Fans of smells wait anxiously to see which perfume ad clichés Pitt will deploy. Will he be skipping through Paris clutching a bunch of balloons and sticking his tongue out at small dogs? Perhaps he’ll be lost in a hedge maze or wearing a ball gown in a lake?

It is, the fashion press have reported breathlessly, the first time the fragrance has ever been fronted by a man, failing to recognise that it might as well be fronted by a Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer since fragrance is the Emperor’s New Clothes of the advertising industry. His Imperial Majesty might be nude, as he strolls along a deserted beach in soft focus, but he certainly smells divine.

One might imagine that, with the exception of those bits of whiffy, damp cardboard they put in magazines, advertisers would have a difficult time conveying a fragrance, whether it’s on screen or on a billboard. Not so. It is (if they are to be believed) liaisons in meadows and armfuls of puppies, untied bow ties and stolen moments. Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens.

The inherent flaw in Chanel’s plan is surely that Pitt probably smells like a sawmill, with base notes of Oscar disappointment and top notes of Angelina’s wrath. He doesn’t smell anything like Chanel No 5; ie pearls and disapproval and Marilyn Monroe’s sheets.

So why in the name of conspicuous consumption, does Chanel think I want to smell like him? Unless... Now I get it. The implication is not that I should aspire to smell like Brad, but that if I smell like Chanel No 5, Brad will want to smell me.

Like a sweet-smelling Siren, I will lure him to my clammy pulse points. Angelina will have to shove beeswax up his nose if he is to resist me. I will perform the mesmerising Perfume Dance (skoosh scent in air, waggle self through stinky mist) and he will be mine. I’ll be the new Angelina! Angelina will be the new Jen! And Jen will probably place an order with Chanel for a lifetime’s supply of Eau de Pitt.

NEWS from my inbox: the New Start Scotland exhibition is returning to Glasgow later this year. It will be EVEN BIGGER and EVEN BETTER than ever, apparently, with a stellar line-up of top business brains already announced. Depressingly/predictably all but one is male. Flying the solitary, lace-trimmed flag for successful women who’ve fought for recognition in the male-dominated business world is Caprice, a former pants model and now a flogger of pants. It’s good to know that women’s endeavours are taken seriously.

THE Olympic torch was lit at a toga party in Olympia last week. In a ceremony evoking the true spirit of ancient Greece, toga-clad revellers sparked up at a temple to the party gods before passing the torch around. Said to represent purity, it will soon arrive in the UK, where 8,000 people will pass it amongst themselves as part of an epic two-month-long celebration. Among those who will take their turn at it are a 100-year-old great-grandmother of six and Jedward. Makes you proud.

Normally, I let my colleague Courtney Shea tackle all things Brangelina Triangle because that’s her beat, but today the task fell upon me to write about the Brad Pitt Diet. What is the Brad Pitt Diet, you may be asking?

Well, according to the National Enquirer, it’s the emaciated state women seem to embody after they start dating the actor. And as the Tiger Woods paper of note hypothesizes, they do this because he wants them to. Zoinks!

“‘Brad doesn’t come out and demand his women be skinny, but in a not-so-subtle manner, he drops hints,’ revealed a close source. ‘If he’s constantly comparing his current girlfriend with his exes, it has to start making them feel self-conscious about their bodies.’“Brad likes his woman super-thin for their red carpet appearances, says the close source. When Angelina first met Brad on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2004, she weighed 115 pounds, which seemed a healthy weight for her 5-foot-7 frame. ‘But now she’s wasting away at less than 100 pounds!’ declared an insider.

“Brad is also said to have hinted that Jennifer Aniston needed to drop a few pounds when they first started dating.

“‘He used to talk to her about how thin and fashionable his former girlfriends Juliette Lewis and Gwyneth Paltrow were,’ said the close source. ‘It was a way to motivate her.’ So Jen lost the curves she used to show off on Friends and she dropped to a waifish 109 pounds. Today, Aniston is dating Justin Theroux and she’s a shapely 120 pounds.

“And when Brad dated Gwyneth Paltrow for three years in the 1990s, Gwyneth ‘always felt she was too heavy for him,’ revealed the close source. In 1996, she shrunk down to a bony 101 pounds for Emma. But today, Gwyneth looks fabulous at 120 pounds.” [via TNE.]

Whoa! Them’s some fighting words. No, really. That’s a pretty serious accusation to be making about someone. Who knows if Brad is sitting on the sofa doing that sort of psychological maneuvering, or dropping cruel hints like, “You’re going to eat that whole piece of lettuce?”

While it’s true that his lady friends do appear to start showing off their bones on the red carpet after a while, who knows if that’s Bradley inspired, or simply the enormous pressure, high stress and scrutiny that comes with being involved with one of the biggest movie stars in the world?

It’s been announced that Brad Pitt is the new face of Chanel No. 5, which comes as a surprise considering that the fashion house has never chose a man to represent the fragrance.  The high fashion luxury company confirmed the news earlier today with People, and according to E! News the actor will be shooting his first ad in London this week.

Reports have also revealed that the newly engaged 48-year-old will be paid a whopping seven figures and ads will be released by the end of this year. Seems like there has been nothing but great news for Brad. I can’t wait to see the ads! What about you? Do you think he’s a great pick for Chanel No 5?

After a momentous announcement that Brad Pitt proposed to his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children, Angelina Jolie the powerhouse actor is back to focusing on his film projects as he took over the cover of the May 2012 issue of GQ India magazine.

The 48-year-old actor looks suave and sexy for the Mario Sorrenti photo shoot while Karan Jain gushed about the star’s momentous career over throughout the years. Featured in “The Kings of Hollywood” section, the “Moneyball” actor is praised not taking “the easy way out” of roles and described as an actor that “can be smooth and charming, but also troubled and confused.” He joins fellow 'Kings of Hollywood' A-listers Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney; both described as out-of-the ordinary stars who remain timeless and intriguing.

BRAD PITT has started lining up events to keep himself busy this summer while his missus Angelina Jolie shoots a new film in the UK. And he’s getting into the spirit of living over here by planning a trip to Manchester to watch The Stone Roses. Brad has requested a bunch of tickets for their Heaton Park gigs at the end of July.

A source said: “Brad’s a big fan of the band and will be at a loose end while Angelina is filming in the UK. He’s asked for four tickets and thinks it will be the ideal way to spend a June weekend.”He should get on the internet sharpish and order himself an Adidas tracksuit top and some baggy jeans. The next two years as she shoots three movies in the capital, with filming on the new fantasy drama Maleficent starting next month.   They’ve hired three tutors for their children while they’re here. The teachers are from a local Montessori school, which specialises in bringing out the creative side in kids.

RoadFish.com men’s lifestyle and finance magazine today learned that Angelina Jolie her fiancé, Brad Pitt, have purchased a home for $16.18 million in Richmond, in southwest London. The famous Hollywood couple have been together for seven years, and have six children together.

Aditi Mathur of the International Business Times reported that Jolie and Pitt, who have been together for seven years and just announced their engagement a month ago, have purchased a home in Richmond. There is no hint as to who their estate agents were. The article reports that the couple and their six children are planning on living in London for a minimum of two years after their wedding this summer. Jolie apparently has shoots for three movies that will be taking place in Britain, so the location made sense since she will be doing a lot of work in the UK in the coming years. A source close to the couple is quoted as saying, “They loved it when they were in the UK last year. They like the culture and are happy for their children to receive schooling here. They think Richmond is a beautiful part of the world.”

The article cites that Jolie’s upcoming flicks include a fantasy drama called “Maleficent,” which is set to start filming next month, as well as “The Counselor” by Ridley Scott and lastly, a film by Danny Boyle. The above-mentioned anonymous source is quoted as saying, “Angelina starts work on her next film, Maleficent, in about three weeks so Brad will look after their brood over summer as he won’t start work on the Ridley Scott film until September.”

RoadFish.com’s Senior staff writer is quoted as saying, “Man, if you’re going to move to London, that sure is one way to do it! I have to say I agree with the couple that London would be a wonderful place to live, if only for a few years or to settle down. The culture is one of a kind, like no other city. I wish them happiness in their new home, the house itself looks pretty badass.”

UK publication the Belfast Telegraph reported that Pitt and Jolie along with their kids spent time in the UK last summer during Pitt’s filming of “World War Z.” They rented out Whornes Place in Richmond for a reported $48,540 in 2011, and reportedly just adored the period property. The article goes on to describe the details of the new house. It is close by both the river and the Heathrow airport, and is complete with an indoor swimming pool, latticed windows, and 15th century wooden beams.

According to reports from the above-mentioned International Business Times, a source close to the couple stated that Pitt and Jolie plan to wed over the summer, most likely near the village of Correns in southern France, near the 14th century mansion, Chateau Miraval, which they purchased on 2008.
